I’m on a roll with reviews, you see! hehehe. I got these beautiful L’Oreal Paris Collection Privee Lipsticks at the recent Christmas Beauty A’Fair. I was immediately drawn to the pretty black packaging and when I saw they were made by L’Oreal, I couldn’t resist buying these Collection Privee (means exclusive, for private use) by Liya Kebede and Frieda Pinto. I would have bought a lot more but I put myself on a very strict makeup budget…lol. I am a lover of beautiful things and makeup that delivers and trust me when I tell you that L’Oreal is one of the top beauty brands that make fantastic lipsticks and they are very affordable too 😀 . Okay, before I begin to bore you with my excitement, let’s get on with my review…ha-ha. According to L’Oreal : The L’Oreal Paris Collection Privee is a new selection of limited edition L’Oreal Colour Riche Lipstick featuring shades by Eva Longoria, Freida Pinto, Jennifer Lopez, Julianne Moore, Doutzen Kroes, and Liya Kebede. The shades are a unique range inspired by a variety of skin tones to give you the perfect nude, natural lip color that suits your tone.
Her nuance… Barely moka
A barely brown color that adds contrast and brings extra
attraction to darker skin tones’ lips.
For darker skin tones.
Her nuance… Barely parma
This re?ned lavender nuance is perfect for emphasizing
the delicacy of the amber complexion.
For brunettes with amber complexions.
Packaging: They come in pretty black suede cases which are velvety to touch with gold inscriptions on them.
Formula : They have a moisturizing formula with little pigmentation.
How I Use : I apply straight from the tube to my lips because they are right in my personal makeup kit…haha.
Pros:
- They are sheer.
- The L’Oreal Paris Collection Privee Lipsticks are easy to wear.
- They are so glossy and feel very great on the lips
- They are glide smoothly and effortlessly on the lips.
- They are very affordable.
- The L’Oreal Paris Collection Privee Lipsticks are moisturizing, hence, no form of lip cracking or drying is encountered when used.
Cons:
- They are not very pigmented as other lipsticks, so they don’t tend to last for more than 3hours
Overall,I think these lipsticks are absolutely beautiful! I love how they are different shades of nude and how they can work for different skin tones. They were a little lacking in pigmentation, but I think that made them a lot more universal and easy to apply. I can’t wait to lay my hands on the other collections by Eva, J.Lo, Julianne Moore and Doutzen. I got these at the rate of 500naira each from MakeupMAvenNg.
