Ola got in touch with me about her wedding 4-5 months before the ‘d-day‘ and at the end of our conversation, she said ” i’m not going to call anyone else because you’re the one that i want to do my makeup”. I was really happy to have heard that and i felt special :D. I went ahead to book her dates even before any payment was made. Afterwards, she kept me updated about the planning.
Then she lost her father-in-law close to the wedding and there was speculation that the wedding may be postponed but fortunately, it wasn’t as they were told to go ahead. I was glad as preparation for the wedding was already in place and any postponement would have cost them a lot more than expected.
So, Ola and Tokunbo (her husband-to-be) came by for her trial which she made sure fell on the day they had to do their pre-wedding shoot and she told me earlier that ” i have to look glam in those pictures o”…loool. Ola totally believed in me and i made sure i delivered well. So, I traveled to Benin for the traditional and white wedding and boy! i had an awesome time over there,she made sure i was comfortable and well attended to and i already started feeling at home in Benin o…but i had to come back home to face more work :(.
