Harmattan : My Beauty Must-Haves This Season!

Hey Glam Royals,

I know it’s been a minute. I hope you have been good and taking it easy. I have been ‘chilling’ myself :D. Talking about chilling, the harmattan season has finally arrived and yeah I quite like the weather. It’s more of a bitter-sweet feeling though. Bitter because the weather is harsh and dries out everything from hair to lips and the skin 🙁 . Its just a meanie!. Sweet because I won’t get to sweat as much as I used to and my makeup stays on longer …phew!

So,I came up with a list of some of my beauty must-haves for the harmattan season to keep being my glam self not minding the chilly harmattan breeze.

Hair : If you know me well enough, you would definitely know that I always carry a silk scarf in my bag wherever I go.The silk scarf is a hair saver any day. It makes your hair stay in place and prevents any form of frizz which can dry out the moisture in the hair. So this is an absolute item on my beauty must-haves list especially when I do not necessarily have to open my hair, However, when I have to,I make sure to use my hair serum and a bit of hair spray on my natural hair to keep it shiny and well moisturized.

Face : This is the time when I moisturize my face regularly. I have an oily face but it tends to be dry lately ’cause of the harmattan and as such,to avoid any form of patchiness, wrinkling or excessive drying,I make sure to moisturize after cleansing my face in the morning and at night.

Eyes : I always cover my eyes with my sunglasses whenever I leave home. This helps to protect my eyes from the particles flying all over.

Lips : My lips become really dry during this season and I do not worry much because I’m always armed with my Vaseline lip therapy balm. This balm is just the best there is. It works excellently and heals dry, chapped lips in an instant. Talk about a a lip saver! Another lip balm that is fantastic is the baby lips by Maybelline. This does wonders too.

Body : I’ve always had a dry skin,so I always invest in good body moisturizers. So,this season,I’m using the Olay luscious embrace body lotion and it is amazing. It moisturizes my body instantly and the silky feel is just perfect. I smell real good all day too. Awesome product,I tell you!

I also try as much as possible to wear clothes that would warm up my body like those made from cotton. I develop allergies during this season,so I cover up as much as I can ’cause there’s no room for any ‘shine-killing’ illness. Ain’t nobody got time for that! hehehe.

With all said and written,I officially welcome you to the Christmas season!!! Show love to everyone you come across! I hope you enjoyed reading. What are your beauty must-haves this harmattan season? I would love to know.

Hugs and Kisses,

Missglam.
