I’m so sorry for the hiatus! Work has been at an all time high, and I didn’t want to just throw anything up on the blog. So, in my little free time,I tried to catch up on ‘Scandal’ in which Kerry Washington is one of the lead actors. I absolutely love her and i dedicated at least an hour everyday in the last few days to watching ‘Scandal’ right from the very first season till the latest one…phew! Lovely TV show,i must say!
I found this picture of Kerry W(as i like to call her),taken at the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards 2013. Does everyone LOVE this look? The makeup is very soft and subtle and i would rock this look at anytime.
Get The Look
Eyes– Use a frosty beige on the lid like Bobbi Brown Taupe and smoke out the edge with MAC Carbon. Try Bobbi Brown Espressoin the crease. Also notice that the eyebrows are natural with little or no pencil filled in. Line the tear line with blackUp Kohl Pencil in Black.
Skin – Her foundation and powder look really flawless and natural. I love it. My vote, of course, is blackUp Fluid Foundation and Milani Compact Powder. Who doesn’t want all natural foundation?
Cheeks– Apply a jewel-toned blush like Black Radiance Artisan Baked blush in Toasted Almond
Lashes– Red Cherry lashes #747m are great choices for the top. They look real nice on the eyes.
Lips-Try Zaron Lipstick in Mystic and a bit of MAC Clear Lipglass. It’s definitely the perfect Jewel-toned lip! Any soft brown liner like Zaron Lip liner in Brick Chick will do.

This is totally my kind of makeup look. Soft and classy. For me less is more and I feel very comfortable in it. What kind of lip gloss of light lipstick will you recommend for me that lasts long and won’t give me that white line effect. My skin tone is light too like Kerry or even lighter. Thanks Chelizruby .
You may try the Zaron lipstick or L’Oreal Paris Infallible Le Rouge Lipcolour in Rich Topaz to achieve this look. MAC,Zaron,Victoria Secret and some other top quality brands produce fab glosses. I hope it helps. Xx
