Clarins Truly Waterproof Mascara Review

I received the Clarins Truly Waterproof Mascara in a PR bag at a Clarins event a few weeks back and as you guys know, mascaras are my fave makeup products. My lashes tend to get in my eyes a lot, as a result, I always use mascaras to tame them. So, after getting this one in black from Clarins, I thought to give it a try, a switch from the maybelline brand. According to Clarins, this mascara has a double volumising & lengthening effect with intense colour and 12-hour non-stop waterproof hold. Here’s my review :

Clarins Truly Waterproof Mascara Review

Packaging : The Clarins Truly Waterproof Mascara comes in a sleek package; black tube with a gold mascara screw cap and a red pack. The little ”C” emblem on the cap makes the simple design look very classy. It comes with a slim brush that has regular bristles.

Formula : It is formulated with bitter orange tree wax and olive squalane which protects lashes from harsh effects of salt water and chlorine whilst nourishing and conditioning them.

How I Use : I apply the lashes in a zig-zag motion starting from under my lashes and also curl them from the top.

Pros :

  • The Clarins Truly Waterproof Mascara promises a 12-hour waterproof wear.
  • It applies easily.
  • Thickens, lengthens and coats the lashes.
  • It makes my lashes feel soft and flexible.
  • It does not flake.

Con :

  • Price is on the high side (£21.50) .

Overall, I absolutely love this mascara. The packaging is very sleek and that’s one of the things that made me quickly reach out for it when I got the bag. This beauty actually holds for up to 12 hours without smudging. Oh, the wand is perfect! I like the slim size and oblong shape, it makes application and distribution of the product very easy. It has a really nice smell too. It doesn’t come off easily because of the waterproof formula but I use my micellar water and a bit of coconut oil to take it out. I would definitely recommend it if you’re looking to get a fab waterproof mascara. It’s available for purchase at the Beauty Bar by Essenza at the Palms, Lekki. Have you used the Clarins Truly Waterproof Mascara? Please share your thought(s).
