Today, I’m sharing the products on my skincare shelf (at the moment) with you. This is not a curated product showcase…it’s just what I’m genuinely using, why it’s there and what it’s doing for my skin.

For context, my skin is combination, with the occasional breakout that reminds me it is still a work in progress 😀 . My current routine is built around keeping things clear, balanced and healthy without stripping everything back to zero. Here’s what that looks like.
- Cleanser — PanOxyl Acne Foaming Wash

This is not a glamorous recommendation but it’s an honest one. The PanOxyl foaming wash has benzoyl peroxide in it, which means it’s actually doing something. It keeps congestion and breakouts in check without being unnecessarily harsh. If you’re dealing with acne-prone or combination skin and your cleanser isn’t working, this is worth a try.
-
Treatment — The Ordinary Glycolic Acid 7% Exfoliating Toner

A few nights a week, after cleansing. I always notice the difference when I skip it…slightly duller skin, a bit more texture. It’s gentle enough to be consistent with and affordable enough that you don’t have to ration it. Both of those things matter.

This has been in my routine in some form for years because it genuinely works…pore appearance, oil control, evening out the skin tone. The zinc helps with blemishes. It layers well under everything else and settles in nicely.
-
Moisturizer — Aveeno Calm + Restore Oat Gel Moisturizer

This one surprised me. Gel moisturizers can go either way on combination skin but this one sits beautifully…lightweight, calming and it doesn’t pill under SPF. The oat formula is doing real work for anyone whose skin is on the sensitive or reactive side.
-
SPF — Black Girl Sunscreen

Non-negotiable, especially for deeper skin tones where a white cast is an immediate NO. Black Girl Sunscreen absorbs cleanly, doesn’t leave a cast and plays well with everything underneath it. If you’ve been skipping SPF because you haven’t found one that works for your skin…try this one.
That’s my skincare shelf right now. Nothing on this list is there for aesthetics…it all has a job to do 🙂 . If any of these have been on your radar, drop a comment and let me know what questions you have. You can also check out my previous routines here and here.
Hugs and Kisses,
Msglam
